EAST SYRACUSE -- Do you love weather? We need you!

Our CNY Central TV stations and the National Weather Service in Binghamton has a Severe Weather Spotter training course Tuesday evening in Syracuse, and it’s free of charge.

This is a basic SKYWARN training class (weather spotters). It starts this evening at 6:30pm at the East Syracuse-Minoa High School on Fremont Road in East Syracuse.

This class is for beginners or anybody that has a general interest in weather. The class is free and open to everyone with no age requirements or previous training needed.

We will cover the basics of thunderstorms, tornadoes, and flooding while training you on how to report severe weather to the National Weather Service.

Become a severe weather spotter for CNY Central and the National Weather Service.

We hope to see you there!
